I see a lot of design inspired by the Emerald Coast. Many times, the color theme is turquoise paired with khaki and white. Just about every bridesmaid and brochure on the Gulf Coast has seen some flavor of this pairing. And in defense of this palette, they are obvious choices because they work! Tried and true, if you will.
But it got me thinking: they all look so much alike. Beautiful, yes, but so similar to one another. How can I say “beach” without slapping a viewer in the face with it?
I looked beyond the emerald waters and sun-bleached sand for more color inspiration; in doing so, I developed these original beach-themed color palettes. Go ahead use these color palettes in your next design; they’re free!
